✘Determined - It’s important for her to get what she wants, whether it be an object or possibly a person. With her low opinion of people in general, she views people almost the same way she would view a thing she likes. Naturally, what’s the use of liking something if you can’t have it, right? With this mindset, she strives towards her goal with the determination of winning. Usually this motivation positively helps with her personal or school projects, but sometimes it makes her unnecessarily pushy, which can get annoying.</sub>

_{✘Kind - Whether she means it or not, she always behaves in a pleasant manner in front of others. Appearing caring and reliable, she helps out anyone who asks for her help, or for a simple favour. If she was to come across someone that feels bad, she would offer comforting words, and ask a few questions with a smile reassuring them that it would be fine. Despite her outright ‘kind’ behaviour, she always seems to have an ulterior motive for acting this way, though what that ulterior motive might be never quite comes across.}

_{✘Flirty - The behaviour comes to her naturally, and seems to be a part of her personality. Even when just having a casual conversation, she throws out a few flirtatious remarks and smiles. She’s even reluctant to stop even if the person she is ‘flirting’ with is in a relationship. Because to her, flirting is as casual as exchanging a few words about the weather. Though when she does have her eye on someone, she makes sure to exaggerate her previous actions more. Pushy as she is, she would initiate much more physical contact or if she felt like fishing for a reaction, straight up confess. This would mostly depend on the person and her mood at the time.}

_{✘Lazy - Although this is usually masked with her so called pleasant attitude and constant smiling, she is hardly willing to move a muscle. At home, she would rather hole up in her study or room in the darkness and just go about her business with only a few necessary breaks. She’s fine with walking, but she prefers not to, especially out in the daylight, which is why she goes out at night way more often. She’ll get through walking to places and doing P.E class, but not without a few uttered complaints under her breath.}

_{✘Observant - She’s very good at reading most people despite her lack of being around them too much. She tends to read expressions and body language, which she learned mostly from books. But she’s also good at picking up social cues. This makes the task of talking to people much more easier, and it gives her an idea of how she should behave. It’s known that some people unconsciously adapt their behaviour depending on the people they’re around, but Shion tends to do that consciously instead. With some people, she doesn’t flirt as much or asks less questions, but with others she may be more assertive, it really depends on what she got out of the person. Though there are cases where her plain observing doesn’t work. As an example, she’s never really been able to read her stoic brother too well. In cases such as these where she can’t get too much out of the person’s behaviour, or she observes something wrong, she can get a little irritated or flustered.}

_{- Biography}

_{- Kindergarten / Preschool -}

_{Around this time it was decided that Shion would be home schooled because it would be more convenient, and because her older brother had been home schooled, too. But even as a kid she found that the quiet environment of her home was a fun place to be taught. She was somewhat of a crybaby and a noisy kid at the time. Going outside always made her scared, and she always got lost so easily, too. It seemed that the outside world didn’t have much to offer to little Shion. The teachers were kind and helpful, and she learned easily. Aside from when learning, she spent most of her time chasing after her big brother, even when he went outside, thinking that if it was with him, it would obviously be safe. Though they got separated a few times when outside, and Shion got lost. She was always found by him not a little later, though. He looked at her with his scary eyes that she had already gotten used to, and laughed about how silly she was.}

_{- Elementary School -}

_{Her parents questioned whether it would be best for her to sign up to a school, but they reached the decision that it was alright this way. Her parents had their own company, and being the leaders, their schedule was as flexible as they made it to be. Although they worked a lot, it seemed to Shion that they were always around. Sometimes they would even come during her study hours to help her out, which Shion always questioned the necessity of. The stuff she was being taught was easy, and she often complained that she should be taught more difficult stuff, and her teachers happily agreed. She had a teacher for every different subject, and she had come to know them all closely.
It was also during this time that she had found out that her brother had left her alone for what seemed like hours (but were actually just a few minutes)  during their time outside on purpose. Though she hadn’t exactly found out, as her brother had told him. This caused her to get irritated and it was when she decided she was definitely going to be way better at everything than her brother.}

_{- Middle School / Junior High -}

_{The beginning of her middle school years, she kept on being home schooled. The subjects were getting easier and more boring as it went, and she sometimes even skipped lessons with excuses such as her head hurt or something like that. She studied a lot on her free time, and the stuff her tutors were teaching her was easy.
It was Shion herself who had asked her parents if she could go to a proper school. Her parents weren’t exactly surprised, but the timing of her request had been a bit off, seeing as she would transfer to the last year of middle school. It seemed a bit unnecessary that she would go to middle school just for one year, but since Shion seemed to want it so much, they agreed. She knew that at the time that she was heavily reliant on her brother because of the reason that she knew no one else. With that, she was admitted to a private middle school.
It didn’t take as much as time as she thought for her to adjust to the presence of people and constant talking in her surroundings. Sure, it was a bit unnatural and honestly kind of annoying, but Shion didn't care that much. Besides, she was confident that she would be able to make it through the year perfectly. She had watched her parents at their meetings a few times, and she took note of their behaviour and brilliant smiles that seemed to charm quite a lot of people, and mimicked it when she interacted with other students. It didn’t take too much for her to make friends and fit right in, which made her feel quite accomplished. But after only a few months, she realised that she had gotten bored. She had made what people would call ‘close’ friends, and they shared what said close friends tend to share with each other. It also occurred to her that the people she was friends with themselves were quite boring. They were all girls with rich parents. Some were nice, some were spoiled, but more than a few had relationships they whined and/or bragged about. It wasn’t something that Shion thought she’d be interested in, but it actually caught her attention. Her new found interest began reflecting in her behaviour. Her personality had already been a bit pushy, but after she had gotten the hang of charming people, it became a bit overbearing.}

_{- Summer before starting Tachikawa High -}

_{Having only gone to school for a year, Shion thought that maybe she hadn’t experienced quite enough. She had already gotten her fill of being home schooled, and going to a normal high school sounded much more fun and interesting. Her life so far had been quite predictable, and kind of boring. In her free time, she was holed up in the library or her room, reading books and messing with vials and chemical compounds. Chemistry was her favourite subject, and she was allowed to have proper equipment to study to her heart’s content. But even that could get boring. Her snake most certainly wasn’t enough company, and she quite enjoyed the company of real people.}

_{With the help of her parents, she made a list of high schools she would apply to, and looked through them all. She was originally going to apply to a different high school, but her parents had said how her older brother had been kicked out by the school when he went there for a short while, which inspired the motivation for her to apply to do something her brother could not do. He had actually been kicked out because he skipped a whole semester and more, and his excuse had been a simple 'I didn't feel like going'. But well, even that was a negative in Shion's eyes, and an opening for her to be better than him. Her older brother was way worse with people than she was, after all, seeing as how he managed to get himself kicked out. This was something else that Shion was terribly proud of.}

_{So with the goal of beating her brother, getting a sufficient diploma and the company of new people, she decided to apply to Tachikawa High.}

_{- Additional Information}

_{✘Her older brother’s name is Mikihiko who is 21 years old and Shion extremely dislikes him.
✘Laboratories really fascinate her, and she finds them to be a great environment to be in. The smell of chemicals, and the clean smell of sterilised equipment with the addition of the fantastic lab coats is just the best thing Shion could ask for. In fact, she wears a lab coat all the time. But she had her doubts if the school would allow it or not, and seeing as she didn’t want to deal with troublesome things, she avoids wearing it over her school uniform when not in the lab.}

✘There are a few very specific types of people that annoy her naturally. She’s not likely to get irritated if someone insults, belittles, or shouts at her. On the contrary, it would most likely amuse her.}
